The first service weekends for the Lodge in 2018. Here Ordeal candidates will complete their Ordeal and join our brotherhood, as well as Ordeal members sealing their membership by becoming Brotherhood members. Those who were selected to be Vigil honor members will also hold their vigil on these weekends. For those not doing their ordeal, the weekend will be filled with service projects to get our camps ready for the summer, as well as fellowship for everyone. Ordeal candidates need to arrive at camp no later then 8:30 PM on Friday evening. The conclusion of the Ordeal, including flap and book distribution, will not be until Sunday morning. LEAVING CAMP DURING THE WEEKEND IS PROHIBITED! If any youth member needs to leave camp for any reason, they must sign out and be picked up by a parent or guardian OR have a signed permission slip from their parents or guardian stating why they are leaving and who has permission to pick them up. Thank you for your help with this safety issue. All Scouts under 18 years old must have a signed permission slip to attend this event. Everyone must bring a valid BSA Medical Form Parts A and B. Suggested items to bring for the weekend include: Scout uniform, tent, sleeping bag, ground cloth, work clothes and gloves (items will get dirty), rain gear, underwear, socks, toiletries, towel, carving knife, money for trading post, insect repellent, flashlight, health history form and any needed medications.

2018 FALL WHITEWATER: WEEKEND 1

Whitewater kayaking on the Wolf River is offered to all Venturing Crew members and Boy Scouts that are 13 years of age and have completed 8th grade over the course of two weekends in May and June as well as two weekends this September. Leaders and parents are always welcome to participate as well. Participants are taught the techniques and safety of kayaking on a whitewater river plus the opportunity to use the camp’s COPE and climbing tower facilities. In addition the weekend includes time for movies, campfires and getting to meet new friends. A fully trained and enthusiastic volunteer staff provides all of the leadership, instruction and supervision for each weekend. The Bay-Lakes Council provides all equipment, food, sleeping quarters (Wausau Homes Adventure Lodge) and emergency services. Be ready to get wet. BSA swimmer classification and a completed Medical form are required. Each camper is also responsible for all of his or her personal clothing, bedding and hygiene needs. Cost is $50 per weekend or $90.00 for two sessions. At door - $55.00. Registration and sign-up is on a first come-first served basis online. Fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to another participant not already signed up. Bring your sense of adventure and sign up for (2) or more sessions.
