KON WAPOS LODGE FALL CONFERENCE – ROKILIO

Here Ordeal candidates will complete their Ordeal and join our brotherhood, as well as Ordeal members sealing their membership by becoming Brotherhood members. Those who were selected to be Vigil honor members will also hold their vigil on these weekends. For those not doing their ordeal, the weekend will be filled with service projects to clean up our camps from summer camp, as well as fellowship for everyone. Ordeal candidates need to arrive at camp no later then 8:30 PM on Friday evening. The conclusion of the Ordeal, including flap and book distribution, will not be until Sunday morning. LEAVING CAMP DURING THE WEEKEND IS PROHIBITED! If any youth member needs to leave camp for any reason, they must sign out and be picked up by a parent or guardian OR have a signed permission slip from their parents or guardian stating why they are leaving and who has permission to pick them up. Thank you for your help with this safety issue. All Scouts under 18 years old must have a signed permission slip to attend this event. Everyone must bring a valid BSA Medical Form Parts A and B. Suggested items to bring for the weekend include: Scout uniform, tent, sleeping bag, ground cloth, work clothes and gloves (items will get dirty), rain gear, underwear, socks, toiletries, towel, carving knife, money for trading post, insect repellent, flashlight, health history form and any needed medications.

Discovery Weekend

One of the greatest experiences a Scout can have is the experience of going to camp.  That is why Bay-Lakes Council is proud to announce the annual "Discovery Weekend for Special Needs Scouts!" This is a great opportunity for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Venture Scouts with any type of disability to discover the traditional Scout skills of arts & crafts, archery, animals and campfires!  Scouts will stay in the heated themed buildings of Camp Rokilio and enjoy the beautiful fall weather as they explore all that camp has to offer.  Boy Scouts will be on staff to help teach new skills as well as help caregivers.  Most Scouts will arrive Saturday morning, but they do have the option of arriving Friday night to help ease yourself into the camp lifestyle.

Fall Mom & Scout

Moms and her Scout(s) camp in their own tents and staff takes care of the rest! Activities include BB guns, archery ranges, crafts, Scouts skills, cooking demonstrations and more! Pizza is available for purchase on Friday night. All other meals are provided.

Rokilio Open House

The Rokilio open house is an exciting way to introduce new Cub Scout families to the adventures of Cub Scout World and Camp Rokilio. New Scouts, their parents and siblings are invited to participate in some of our classic camp activities. This will include Archery, BB gun target practice, a Dutch oven cooking demo, bog walk and tours of each of our themed buildings including the Kohler Castle, Fort JJ Keller, Knauf Space Station, Oertle Train Station and Gunderson Viking Ship.

Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO)

What is BALOO? BALOO stands for Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation. It is designed to introduce Cub Scout leaders to the newly expanded opportunities for pack overnight camping. BALOO is required for all Packs planning an overnight campout. Why Should I Attend? At least one adult leader must be BALOO trained in order for a Cub Scout Pack to participate in overnight camping. Tour permits will only be issued to Packs who meet the requirements of having attended BALOO training. Details This is an energetic training that will cover everything you need to know to plan and run a Pack overnighter. It’s more than just camping — it includes ideas for outdoor activities, games and ceremonies; information on selecting and using camping equipment; how to run a campfire program; and hands-on Cub Scout cooking demonstrations! In short, everything you need to know to make your pack overnighter a fun, successful and BSA approved event!
