2021 Summer Camp Directors

The Bay-Lakes Council is pleased to announce the selection of the 2021 Summer Camp Directors. Over the coming months they will be planning and preparing to make the summer of 2021 the best yet in the Bay-Lakes Council. Michael Thunes-Camp Rokilio Director 
Michael is excited to be back again for my 6th summer as Camp Director and 14th as a part of the Rokilio team.  When not at camp Michael work at Menasha High School as a Technology Education Instructor. He can frequently be seen helping at weekend programs hosted at Rokilio. He is excited for the summer ahead and cannot wait to see all of you at summer camp this year.

Brit Burmeister-Gardner Dam Scout Camp Director
Gardner Dam Scout Camp welcomes back Brit Burmeister for the 2021 season! This is Brit’s 13th year on camp staff and she’s more excited than ever. She currently serves as the Twin Lakes District Director and really enjoys seeing all of the Scouts grow in the Scouting program. When she’s not working, you can catch her spending time with her boyfriend Jon or hiking with their dogs, Finn and Gemini.

Erick Kestila-Camp Hiawatha Director
Erick will again be leading the team at Camp Hiawatha. Erick is a Scoutmaster with Troop 408 and has been since 1990. He’s an Order of the Arrow chapter advisor and has spent over 50 years in the Scouting program. He’s seen 10 years on camp staff and is excited to take on his role as camp director this summer.

Patrick Williquette-Bear Paw Scout Camp Director
Patrick brings over 40 years of Scouting experience within the Bay-Lakes Council. He is currently the Cubmaster for Pack 4468 in Sobieski and an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 1044. In 2020, Patrick helped lead Bear Paw as Camp Director. With his team, he was able to help develop a camp program, adjust meal and dining accommodations and put forth a safe and exciting summer camp for all Scouts to enjoy! When not Scouting Pat, is spending time with is wife and 4 kids (all in Scouts) and substitute teaches in the Pulaski Schools.

Cub Scout & Webelos Camp Sign-Up

On December 5, 2020 starting at 9:00AM CT, registration for Cub Scout & Webelos Summer Camp will open. This year’s registration process will again be online. A deposit of $10 per person is due upon registration. From 9:00 am – 11:00 am CT, staff will be available by phone (920-734-5705) to provide assistance and answer questions. Below you will find some of the most common questions about sign-up.

How will my unit sign-up to attend Cub Scout and Webelos Resident Camp in 2021?

Follow the directions below. After step 3, please watch the videos. These videos are produced by our registration system provider. While they are not specific to our Cub Scout Summer Camp online registration, they will help guide you through the online system.

  1. Beginning at 9:00AM CT on December 5, 2020, the unit’s registration contact will need to go online to www.baylakescamps.org
  2. Along the top of the Bay-Lakes Council Camps website is a tan menu bar. Hover over “Make a Reservation.”
  3. A drop down menu will appear with the names of our summer camps. Select the camp that you want to register for.


WHEN WILL MY UNIT BE NOTIFIED ON WHAT SESSION AND CAMPSITE/BUILDING WE HAVE BEEN ASSIGNED?

The unit’s registration contact will be notified via email no later than 4:00PM CT on December 11, 2020 for units that submitted a registration for the 2021 summer camp season between December 5, 2020 at 9:00AM CT and December 7, 2020 at 8:00AM CT. Units registering for summer camp after December 7, 2020 at 8:00AM CT will receive confirmation of session and campsite/building no later than 72 hours after making a registration, but not before December 13, 2020 at 12:00PM CT.


HOW DO I LOG BACK INTO OUR UNIT’S REGISTRATION?

Option 1

  1. The unit registration contact can click a link in the initial registration confirmation email to log back into the unit’s registration.

Option 2

  1. Navigate to www.baylakescamps.org
  2. Along the top of the Bay-Lakes Council Camps website is a tan menu bar. Click “Access Existing Registration.”
  3. A pop-up will display on a new page asking to enter the email address of the unit’s registration contact and the registration number. Once this information is entered, click “Login.”

CAN I ADD ADDITIONAL ATTENDEES TO MY UNIT’S SUMMER CAMP REGISTRATION IN THE FUTURE?

Units attending the following camps will have the ability to login to their unit’s registration and add additional attendees to their unit’s registration after December 5, 2020 at 9:00AM CT:

  • Camp Hiawatha Cub Scout & Webelos Summer Camp
  • Gardner Dam Webelos Camp

Units attending the following camps will need to call our support team at 920-734-5705 to add additional attendees to their unit’s registration after December 5, 2020 at 9:00AM CT:

Units registering for summer camp after December 16, 2019 at 8:00AM CT will receive confirmation of session and campsite/building no later than 72 hours after making a registration, but not before December 22, 2019 at 12:00PM CT.

ALL FEE PAYMENTS (deposits & balance) ARE NON-REFUNDABLE TO THE BALANCE OF YOUR ACCOUNT. Bay-Lakes Council camps must commit financial resources to employ staff, purchase food, supplies and prepare for summer operations.  Participants are, therefore, required to make a financial commitment to attend.
 
Be conservative in making reservations to avoid losing fees due to cancellations. Keep in mind that additional youth and adult participants can be added after your reservation is confirmed and 1 week prior to your arrival at camp.
 
Exceptions Include: Extreme family emergencies or documented medical circumstances.
